The Blockchain Data team builds the fundamental Web3 infrastructure and the data layer, delivering an open-source, industry-leading suite of data availability solutions (ChainStack) to ingest, index, and parse vast amounts of crypto data with minimal latency.

This role is for a Software Engineer on the Blockchain Data team focused on backend and infrastructure components that power blockchain data ingestion and availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with technical expertise.
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
• Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used by engineering teams in production (e.g., dynamic configuration, secrets storage, container orchestration).
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of internal customers.
• Learn, build, improve, and maintain cloud provisioning services written in Golang and Terraform.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Work with engineers and leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible quarterly roadmap.
• Provide customer support to internal engineers on cloud provisioning.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and infrastructure.
• Strong experience writing high-quality, well-tested code.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to identify root causes and drive solutions.
• Experience or familiarity with cloud provisioning, container orchestration, dynamic configuration, and secrets management.
• Experience with Golang and Terraform (used by the team).

Nice to haves

• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, and dApps or blockchain-based services.
• Prior experience with ChainStack or blockchain data availability tooling.

Pay Range

• $152,405 — $179,300 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus + equity + benefits)

Additional notes

• Role is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year (team and company offsites multiple times annually). Attendance is expected and supported.
