Software Engineer, Backend - Blockchain Platform (Staking Data)

The Staking Data Team builds and maintains reliable blockchain data pipelines and APIs, ensures staking data accuracy and scalability, integrates new blockchain assets, and assists in development of APY-boosting technology to enable seamless staking experiences.

The role is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation (team/company offsites) is required throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams across the company on integrations with Coinbase services.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug complicated problems in production systems.
• Design, build, scale and maintain production services and compose service-oriented architectures.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
• Familiarity with service-oriented / microservice architectures and decomposing large software systems.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Go (GoLang) and/or Ruby is a plus.

Nice to haves

• Crypto background and passion for building an open financial system.
• Experience with Solana data, indexing, and/or scaling large systems.
• On-chain experience (interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services).

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $152,405 — $179,300 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
