Software Engineer, Backend - Blockchain Platform (Staking Platform)

The Staking Platform team builds platform services to empower high-quality staking products for retail and institutional customers. The team translates complex operations and state machines across multiple top staking protocols into simple, straightforward APIs consumed by product teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams across the company on integrations with platform services
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards
• Troubleshoot and debug complicated problems
• Design, build, scale and maintain production backend services and APIs
• Decompose large software systems and compose service-oriented architectures

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services
• Experience composing service-oriented architectures and decomposing large systems
• Write high-quality, well-tested code
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Passion for crypto and building an open financial system

Preferred technologies and skills mentioned:

• Familiarity with GoLang and/or Ruby (listed as a plus)
• Experience with APIs, service-oriented architecture, testing, debugging and code review
• Understanding of state machines and translating complex on-chain operations into APIs

Nice to haves

• Crypto background
• Experience with Solana data, indexing, and/or scaling large systems
• Crypto-forward experience, including interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services
• Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience

• Pay Range: $152,405—$174,000 USD (target annual salary; offers also include bonus + equity + benefits)
