The Growth organization drives Coinbase’s mission of bringing the world onchain by building and leveraging growth tools across multiple avenues, including referral and incentives programs, a world-class notifications system, a dynamic logged-out web experience, and optimizing new user onboarding.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually; attendance is expected and supported.

Responsibilities

• Build and run experiments to power the growth of Coinbase’s retail products (including referral and incentives programs, notifications, logged-out web experience, onboarding flow).
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and operate production services with a focus on real-time, low-latency updates and secure cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services; familiarity with composing a service-oriented architecture.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
• Passion for building an open financial system and belief in crypto and blockchain technology.

Nice to Haves

• Experience launching new products from 0 to 1.
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum) and familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
• Experience working with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience building fintech, highly reliable and/or secure systems.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range (depending on work location): $152,405—$179,300 USD (full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
