Details

At Coinbase you will build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features that make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone. This role sits on the Growth org focused on referral and incentives programs, notifications, logged-out web experiences, and optimizing new user onboarding. You will work on large-scale, high-frequency, low-latency real-time systems that integrate web-scale application constraints with blockchain technology, running secure infrastructure in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run experiments to power the growth of Coinbase’s retail products.
  • Design scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to convert product and technical vision into quarterly roadmaps.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
  • Operate production services with attention to reliability, performance, and security.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services; familiarity composing a service-oriented architecture.
  • Strong emphasis on writing high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Passion for building an open financial system and working with crypto/blockchain-forward products.

Nice to haves

  • Experience launching new products from 0 to 1.
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Experience with blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum) and onchain activity (interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps).
  • Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Experience building fintech, highly reliable, and/or secure systems.

Compensation & Additional Notes

  • Pay Range (target annual salary): $154,000 — $154,000 CAD. Full-time offers also include target bonus and benefits.
  • Role is remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation (team/company offsites and in-person events) is required periodically.
