This role is within the Consumer Product Group as a founding software engineer on a new team, responsible for designing and launching a new product offering called Coinbase for Business.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect backend systems for Coinbase for Business.
• Write code and build prototypes for MVP and future vision concepts including international payments, payroll, invoices.
• Collaborate across teams to launch features such as onboarding, multi-user support, payment rails, tax, settings, and commerce integrations.
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficient in writing high-quality, well-tested code.
• Passionate about building an open financial system.

Nice to Haves

• Experience on fintech engineering teams building financial and payment systems.
• Experience with rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
• Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
• Crypto experience including onchain activity, interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.

The role is remote.

Compensation

Salary range: $152,405 — $179,300 USD per year plus target bonus, equity, and benefits.
