Responsibilities
- Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate product and technical vision into a roadmap.
- Write high quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
- Knowledge of service oriented architecture.
- Passion for building an open financial system.
Nice to Haves
- Experience during rapid company growth from startup to mid-size.
- Experience with growth experiments or A/B tests.
- Experience with blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
- Experience decomposing large monoliths into microservices.
- Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
- Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
- Crypto-forward experience including onchain activities such as Ethereum, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.
