Stablecoin Ecosystem team is looking for backend developers who will help in delivering a suite of international stablecoins. The role will be responsible for evaluating the APIs of external partners, integrating them with internal systems to enable operations of a stablecoin. The role will work with product, designers and tech leads to deliver different features.

For select roles, Coinbase is piloting an AI tool based on machine learning technologies to conduct initial screening interviews to qualified applicants. The tool simulates realistic interview scenarios and engages in dynamic conversation. Responsibilities

• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Evaluate APIs of external partners and integrate them with internal systems to enable stablecoin operations.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• Design, build, scale and maintain production services and compose service oriented architectures.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services.
• Experience composing service oriented architectures and/or decomposing monoliths into microservices.
• Proven ability to write high quality, well tested code.
• Comfortable working with product, design and tech leads to deliver features.
• Passion for building an open financial system and familiarity with crypto/blockchain concepts is a plus.

Nice to haves:

• Experience through rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
• Experience building growth experiments or A/B tests.
• Experience with blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum; familiarity with onchain activity (interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps).
• Experience decomposing large monoliths into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or Redshift.
• Experience building financial, high reliability or security systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range:

$147,000—$174,000 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
