Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software development frameworks and shared libraries for backend engineers.
• Implement customer-focused abstractions to simplify and standardize feature delivery.
• Responsible for performance, automation, and standardization of gRPC services.
• Understand and anticipate long-term backend engineering infrastructure needs.
• Contribute to technical decisions with design justification, coordination, and collaboration.
• Gather requirements for backend frameworks, identify gaps, and propose improvements.
• Produce professional documentation and diagrams to communicate concepts and architectures.
• Manage and resolve complex technical problems and incidents with appropriate communication.
• Support infrastructure offerings to maintain high service and availability.
• Develop strong working relationships across Infrastructure, Security, business partners, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and make forward-looking recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern tech stacks, especially Go and gRPC.
• Experience building shared libraries and frameworks within large organizations.
• Experience refactoring legacy codebases and isolating unused logic.
• High quality standards, self-starter mindset, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and deliver solutions.
• Ability to balance business needs with technical solutions.
• Experience scaling backend infrastructure.

Additional Information

• Role supports remote working (#LI-Remote).
• Full-time offers include target bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Pay Range: $152,405 – $179,300 USD per year.
