We are responsible for processing transactions across crypto, fiat and internal wallet, and managing the assets for our users including providing portfolio performance and user tax optimizations. Responsibilities

• Build, test, and release product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements. Features may be related to market data, trading, accounting, authentication, or security.
• Design solutions with other engineers and the ops team to fix scalability problems and implement those solutions in production.
• Work on systems that process and record fund movements across crypto, fiat, and internal wallets, and contribute to portfolio and tax-related product features.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and transactions.
• Good intuition for REST API design.
• Passion for crypto and blockchain technology; answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience.

Working Model

• Remote-first role, but not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites; attendance is expected and supported.
• Coinbase pilots certain AI interview tools for initial screening and interview intelligence; a human recruiter will review interview responses. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $147,900 — $174,000 USD (target annual salary depending on work location). Full-time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits.
