Responsibilities

• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of customers.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
• Knowledge of composing service-oriented architecture.
• Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice to Haves

• Experience growing your company from startup to mid-size.
• Experience building growth experiments or A/B tests.
• Experience with blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity like interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, and dApps or blockchain-based services.
