About the Team

You’ll join a small, hands-on team (full-stack + backend) in the Applied AI organization that operates with minimal process and a tight feedback loop with real customers from day one. The team works closely with product, design, and research to take ideas from exploration to production and to own outcomes end-to-end.

About the Role / Responsibilities

• Join a team building ChatGPT for Work features and own outcomes end-to-end (prototype → launch → iterate).
• Co-create the rubric for how organizational knowledge is captured, linked, evaluated, and applied in product flows.
• Build graph-backed, real-time systems that stay fresh by default (streaming + incremental updates).
• Ship enterprise-grade, first-party ChatGPT for Work features end-to-end.
• Make pragmatic architecture choices balancing speed, reliability, and privacy/security for enterprise users.
• Define scope, set milestones, measure impact, and take high ownership of product outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and research and interact with real customers.

This role is based in Seattle, WA and uses a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. The company offers relocation assistance to new employees.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product engineering experience building and shipping user-facing features end-to-end.
• Strength in modern web stacks (e.g., TypeScript/JavaScript, React) and at least one backend language (the team uses Python).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres/MySQL) and comfort optimizing for speed and scale.
• Product intuition: talk to users, prioritize signal over noise, and iterate quickly.
• Ability to thrive with ambiguity and move fast in a high-impact, high-ownership environment.
• Experience or knowledge in knowledge graphs, embeddings/retrieval, vector stores, or near-real-time data pipelines.
• Building secure, compliant enterprise features (authN/Z, data governance, auditability).
• Observability and performance tuning across the stack.

Compensation & Benefits

• Listed base salary range: $300,000 - $325,000 (offers equity). Base pay may vary depending on market location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
