To achieve our mission, Coinbase is seeking backend and frontend software engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• Collaborate across teams to build scalable systems that integrate blockchain and web-scale application constraints.

Requirements

• Available to begin employment immediately.
• 1+ years experience in software engineering/development.
• Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to write high quality, well tested code.
• Self-motivated, committed to personal growth, and able to approach problems with positive energy.
• Passionate about blockchain, crypto, and building an open financial system.

Nice to Haves

• Backend experience using Go, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with GraphQL, MongoDB, AWS, Docker.
• Frontend experience using React, React Native, JavaScript or TypeScript.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $128,775 — $151,500 USD (target annual salary). Full time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
