We seek a passionate frontend engineer who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology. The Growth team focuses on making cryptocurrency accessible globally by developing growth tools such as referral and incentives programs, a notifications system, a logged-out web experience, and optimized new user onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run experiments to drive growth of Coinbase’s retail products.
  • Create engaging, dynamic, and accessible user experiences balancing ease of use and security.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to define a quarterly product and technical roadmap.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code addressing customer needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years developing web apps and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based JS frameworks like React.
  • Experience with component-based UI frameworks.
  • Knowledge of front-end architecture best practices including performance, security, and usability.
  • Experience collaborating within product and design lifecycles.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, tested code.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience launching products from zero to one.
  • Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Background on front-end teams within finance or security sectors.
  • At least 1 year experience with React Native mobile apps or migrating native apps to React Native.
  • Experience with crypto-forward technologies such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, or blockchain-based services.
