The Risk Platform Team aims to manage financial risks affecting the business and users by delivering scalable engineering systems to detect and prevent fraud with real-time and scheduled workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the next generation of Risk Platform architecture powering Coinbase.
  • Define long-term technical direction for scaling web and mobile platforms.
  • Create trustworthy, simple, performant user experiences using React, React Native, Typescript, React Navigation, Jest, and Webpack.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to develop quarterly roadmaps.
  • Mentor and train teammates on design and coding standards.
  • Foster positive, inclusive team interactions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience developing web apps and user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React.
  • Experience shipping user-facing features with component-based UI frameworks.
  • Knowledge of front-end architecture best practices around performance, security, and usability.
  • Familiarity with product and design lifecycles and collaboration with designers, engineers, and product managers.
  • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in finance or compliance front-end teams.
  • At least 1 year developing React Native mobile apps or aiding migration to React Native.

Salary Range: $152,405 - $179,360 USD per year (plus bonus, equity, and benefits)
