Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Platform Developer Experience - Release)

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. The Platform Product Group builds and maintains the platforms critical to Coinbase. The Release team within Developer Experience is responsible for the systems and processes that allow Coinbase engineers to build and deploy software in a simple, safe, and secure manner. This role focuses on improving build and deployment systems and collaborating with engineering teams across the company.

Responsibilities

• Learn, build, improve, and maintain build and deployment systems written in Golang.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.
• Work with engineers and leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap each quarter.
• Provide stellar customer support to internal engineers.
• Participate in team and company-wide offsites as required (in-person participation expected multiple times per year).

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and infrastructure.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and see issues through to resolution.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD, build, and deployment systems.

Nice to Have

• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
• Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience.

Compensation & Additional Info

• Pay Range: $152,205—$179,300 USD (target annual salary; offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
