The Integrity team at OpenAI is dedicated to ensuring that our cutting-edge technology is secure from adversarial threats and maintains platform integrity as it scales. Integrity Foundations provides core building blocks and infrastructure to defend against financial abuse, scaled attacks, and other forms of misuse that could undermine the user experience or operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance systems to detect and prevent various forms of abuse including financial fraud, botting, and scripting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that protect against and mitigate adversarial attacks without compromising user experience.
• Assist with response to active incidents on the platform and build new tooling and infrastructure that address fundamental problems.
• Own problems end-to-end and build durable solutions and tooling to accelerate workflows where off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience setting up and maintaining production backend services and data pipelines.
• Experience designing and implementing systems to detect, mitigate, or investigate abuse, fraud, or adversarial behavior (production safety / integrity systems).
• Comfortable responding to active incidents and building tooling/infrastructure for detection, monitoring, and mitigation.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, ability to pick up new tools and frameworks quickly, and a pragmatic, self-directed approach to problem solving.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across teams to achieve durable, user-preserving defenses.
