Role description
Sentry is hiring new graduates to join its Software Engineering teams. Engineers work on problems ranging from building fast and delightful UIs for navigating millions of error and performance events to architecting backend solutions that ingest, store, and index terabytes of data daily. New grads will be coached by a diverse engineering team and will contribute to a complex, growing codebase.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team to develop and extend the Sentry product by writing software in Python or JavaScript (or both).
- Be responsible for the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and operating services in production.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Act on feedback, coaching, and mentorship from manager and teammates.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a similar degree program.
- At least one previous internship or equivalent practical experience.
- Implementation skills with one or more general-purpose programming languages (examples given: Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience working with version control and unit testing.
- Ability and willingness to operate services in production and contribute to a high-iteration, fast-shipping development culture.

Benefits and compensation
- Base salary range: $130,000 to $140,000 (the actual base salary will be determined by factors including work location, education, experience, and skills).
