Responsibilities
- Work with a team to develop and extend the Sentry product by writing software in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Be responsible for the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and operating in production.
- Build fast and delightful UIs for navigating millions of error and performance events, and/or architect solutions that ingest, store, and index very large volumes of data.
- Communicate effectively with other engineers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders such as product managers.
- Act on feedback, coaching, and mentorship from your manager and teammates.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a similar degree program.
- At least one previous internship or equivalent practical experience.
- Implementation skills with one or more general-purpose programming languages (examples given: Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
- Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience working with version control and unit testing.
- Willingness to contribute to and work with open-source projects.

Compensation & Benefits
- The base salary range that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $134,000 to $144,000.
- A successful candidate’s actual base salary will be determined by factors including work location, education, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
- Eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage). See Sentry Benefits for more details.
