The Automotive Vehicles Platform team is seeking a creative and experienced Software Engineering Manager to help bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle product to market. You will manage software development for the autonomous driving software stack, working with multi-functional engineering teams across vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into the NVIDIA DRIVE software platform while meeting NVIDIA and automotive standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team and efforts to develop and deploy the next-generation Autonomous Vehicle Car Platform.
- Drive automotive ECU software development and releases with NVIDIA autonomous driving partners by defining roadmaps, milestones, and execution plans.
- Lead the autonomous driving organization through risks and resolve critical issues affecting platform stability, availability, and efficiency.
- Develop system tests, document product functions, evaluate quality, and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate cross-functional work between research, product, and engineering teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Requirements
- BS/MS or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering fields (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of progressive industry experience.
- 4+ years of experience as a team or technical leader.
- Proven track record of taking embedded and high-efficiency software architectures to production.
- Strong programming and debugging skills, especially for parallel and distributed architectures.
- Proven understanding of Linux, QNX, and/or other real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with automotive ISO 26262 safety standards and security standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
Ways to Stand Out
- Prior experience in automotive ECU software integration.
- Prior experience with Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR.
- Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive Ethernet, and automotive sensors (Radar, LiDAR, Cameras).
- Experience developing software in heterogeneous architectures, including GPUs and other accelerators.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with software and hardware engineers; detail-oriented with strong data organization and presentation skills.
Benefits & Compensation
- Base salary range (determined by location, experience, and internal pay):
- Level 3: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
- Level 4: 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD
