We are looking for a Software QA Test Developer for Robotics to join the NVIDIA Robotics team. You will be part of a team that drives quality and innovation for robotics: creating test plans, automating tests where possible, and focusing on validating real robots and the data that trains their models. The role spans embedded software, simulation and digital twins, robotics software stacks, and developing methodologies bridging sim-to-real.

Responsibilities

• Write test automation for On-Robot Hardware & Software and embedded software running on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor platform, including sensor integration validation, real-time performance, and low-level control systems.
• Build and maintain test infrastructure within Simulation & Digital Twins environments (Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab); develop automated tests verifying physics engine accuracy and transferability of learned policies from simulation to real robots.
• Write test automation for the full Robotics Software Stack, including Isaac ROS and integration with other robotic components.
• Architect, build, and maintain test infrastructure for a humanoid reference platform and develop testing methodologies that bridge the sim-to-real gap, creating a continuous feedback loop between virtual and physical testing.
• Lead design of complex test scenarios in Isaac Sim/Lab that use generative AI to stress-test robot policies, ensuring models trained in simulation (using Isaac GR00T) perform reliably on real hardware.
• Guide and craft intricate test scenarios in Isaac Sim/Lab with generative AI to validate simulation-trained policies on physical robots.

Requirements

• B.S. or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of hardware or robotics engineering experience and 2+ years with demonstrable experience focused on Quality Assurance in these areas.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, and ChatGPT.
• Experience with machine learning and training/testing robotics models.
• Experience with fleet management, telemetry, debugging, and managing executive demos.
• Familiarity or experience working with Isaac Sim, Isaac Lab, Isaac ROS, and Isaac GR00T is expected given responsibilities.
• Strong scripting ability in Python is listed as a distinguishing skill.

Ways to Stand Out

• Strong software QA and QA tooling experience specific to robotics testing.
• Understanding of teleoperation and manipulation and setting up data collection labs.
• Fluent scripting in Python.

Benefits

• Base salary range: 108,000 USD - 184,000 USD (determined by location, experience, and internal pay).
• Eligibility for equity and NVIDIA benefits.
