The Solutions Architecture team ensures the safe and effective deployment of Generative AI applications for developers and enterprises. The team acts as trusted advisors and technical partners to customers, helping them build and execute AI adoption strategies post-sale. The mission is to develop a backlog of GenAI use cases tailored to each customer’s industry and drive those initiatives from prototype to production through hands-on technical guidance and partnership.

The Solutions Architecture team focuses on deploying Generative AI applications across industries for use cases such as customer service automation, content generation, and new product offerings powered by advanced models. The team partners with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Applied Research, and Product teams.
About the role
As a Solutions Architect, you will engage with customers post-sale to ensure they realize tangible business value from OpenAI technologies. You will work with senior leaders and technical teams in customer organizations to establish GenAI roadmaps and strategies, prioritize high-value use cases, and guide projects from early prototyping through enterprise-grade production deployments. You will design solutions that leverage ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, and related tools and services, taking a holistic view of each customer’s architecture and operations.
This role is based in the NYC office and uses a hybrid work model (3 days/week in the office). Relocation assistance is offered for new employees.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert post-sale for a portfolio of customers, embedding deeply to design and deploy GenAI solutions.
- Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and validate the highest-value GenAI applications in customer roadmaps.
- Accelerate customer time to value by providing architectural guidance, building hands-on prototypes, and advising on best practices for scaling solutions in production.
- Lead and drive complex deployments from prototype to enterprise-grade production, considering infrastructure and network architecture where relevant.
- Maintain strong relationships with leadership and technical teams to drive adoption, expansion, and successful outcomes.
- Contribute to open-source resources and enterprise-facing technical documentation to scale best practices across customers.
- Share learnings and collaborate with internal teams to inform product development and improve customer outcomes.
- Codify knowledge and operationalize technical success practices to help the Solutions Architecture team scale impact across industries and customer types.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical consulting, post-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or similar experience working directly with customers.
- Experience leading complex deployments of Generative AI or traditional machine learning systems, including consideration of infrastructure and network architecture.
- Hands-on proficiency in languages such as Python or JavaScript and comfort building prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Strong communication skills; able to explain technical and business concepts clearly to executive and practitioner audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to take end-to-end ownership, learn new skills proactively, and manage multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments.
- Collaborative, humble mindset with eagerness to support teammates and customers.
