Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds Grafana β€” a visualization and observability platform used globally. The Commercial Solutions Engineering team are customer-facing product experts who enable growth by educating potential and existing customers, delivering demos and technical evaluations, and partnering closely with Sales. This role is an early member position on a high-growth team focused on technical engagements to help qualify and close opportunities and to provide customer feedback into Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Join as an early member of a high-growth team working together to solve technical and customer problems the right way.
  • Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  • Own the technical engagement with customers and help close opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
  • Deliver product and technical presentations and demos to potential and existing customers.
  • Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide a feedback loop into Product and Engineering and to report on the competitive landscape.
  • Drive product conversations based on needs discovered during customer interactions.
  • Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other internal and external enablement materials.

Requirements

  • Ideally located in California (role listed as United States - Remote).
  • 1–3+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring/observability space.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for collaboration with remote, international teams and worldwide customers.
  • Ability to deliver technical demos, presentations, and hands-on enablement.
  • A technical mindset with a desire to grow technically; candidates with coding bootcamp completion, post-sales, or engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with varied, complex duties requiring strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Self-motivated, initiative-taking, creative, and resilient.

Compensation & Benefits

  • United States OTE (On-Target Earnings) range: $177,000 - $211,000. Actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skills assessed during the process.
  • Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for employee ownership.
  • 100% remote, global culture; remote-first company.
