Details

Perplexity is looking for a Solutions Engineer to drive enterprise adoption of Comet, an AI-native browser. You will be the technical expert for Comet, partnering with sales, product, and engineering to help enterprise customers adopt and integrate Comet into their workflows. The role requires building technical demos, leading technical onboarding and integrations (including SSO), troubleshooting, and capturing customer feedback to inform product direction.

Responsibilities

  • Technical pre-sales & demos: Own technical discovery calls with prospects, build and deliver tailored Comet demos that showcase relevant features, and translate Comet's AI and browser capabilities into clear business and technical value for stakeholders.
  • Post-sales enablement & support: Lead technical onboarding and integration for Comet including configuration and SSO setup, provide hands-on support for technical issues and debugging, and conduct training sessions while creating technical enablement materials.
  • Customer feedback & product partnership: Gather and synthesize technical feedback from customers and prospects, act as the voice of the customer in product discussions to shape Comet's roadmap, and maintain deep knowledge of Comet's architecture and AI features.
  • Tools & enablement: Build and maintain internal tools and automations that make sales and support teams more effective, and contribute to help center content and internal documentation focused on Comet's technical setup and best practices.
  • Performance tracking: Track key metrics like response times, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction. Use both quantitative and qualitative data to iteratively guide improvements.
  • Scaling: Ensure that internal systems and teams can scale as our user base grows.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, or similar technical pre-/post-sales role, ideally for a browser, productivity, or AI product.
  • Strong technical background: Comfortable with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), APIs, and browser developer tools.
  • Experience with SSO and SCIM and common enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver compelling technical demos and proof-of-concepts.
  • Experience with technical onboarding, integration, and troubleshooting for SaaS or browser-based products.
  • Experience working with engineers to scope, build, and deploy solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills: Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Hands-on mindset: Comfortable diving into logs, debugging issues, and writing scripts or small tools to improve efficiency.

Benefits

  • U.S. Benefits: Full-time U.S. employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits program including equity, health, dental, vision, retirement, fitness, commuter and dependent care accounts, and more.
  • International Benefits: Full-time employees outside the U.S. enjoy a comprehensive benefits program tailored to their region of residence.
  • Compensation: Listed compensation range for this role is $220K–$300K and the company offers equity. Final offer amounts depend on experience and expertise.
