At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. We are building the emerging onchain platform and the future global financial system. This role is part of a 24/7 Market Operations team supporting two exchanges. The Specialist will independently troubleshoot a wide variety of issues impacting the exchanges and clients, engage cross-functional teams for complex issues, and participate in deployment testing to ensure deployments do not adversely affect production environments. This role is remote-first but requires in-person participation throughout the year; team and company offsites are held multiple times annually. The role is based in the Pacific Time Zone.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical support for all electronic trading, clearing systems, and applications
  • Field customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, business technology, product schedules, and connectivity
  • Supply front line support for internal and external investigations related to exchange operations
  • Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products and implement platform updates
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing support of clients and vendors
  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as client services, product design, and development
  • Strategize and identify areas of operational improvement aligned with business objectives and growth
  • Engage in deployment testing and other activities to ensure production stability

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance or a technical field with documented industry experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with financial markets and/or in a technical operations role
  • Exchange operations and product knowledge of listed futures and/or options, including error trade analysis and resolution
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to diverse audiences
  • Ability to learn, document, and improve operational processes
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills (including call control, professionalism, and multitasking)
  • Experience with support channels including voice, e-mail and/or chat
  • Adaptable to a high-growth, fast-paced, remote-first organization
  • Working product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options
  • Based in the Pacific Time Zone

Nice to Haves

  • Understanding of network protocols
  • Understanding of FIX protocol
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Customer support experience in high-stress, fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $112,965 — $132,900 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits)
