We are building a brand-new team in ING Hubs Poland to support the Global Procurement team and are looking for experienced professionals who want to work globally while staying connected locally.
The expected salary for this position:
- for specialist: 7100 - 16600 PLN
- for senior specialist: 9600 - 21300 PLN

We are looking for several senior experts in different IT procurement fields: Software and SaaS, Hardware (Servers, Storage, Workplaces, Network, Data Centre equipment) and IT Services.
Responsibilities
- For assigned suppliers (TIER 2), identify global and local business needs, specifications and requirements as input for sourcing projects, category strategy and ongoing management of supplier relationships.
- Share knowledge with the Category Manager to develop and execute overarching forward-looking global category strategy for suppliers (TIER 2) in your scope.
- Collaborate with global business partners to understand strategic priorities, align on sub(category) strategy and ensure adherence to the ING Procurement Policy.
- Lead end-to-end global e-sourcing initiatives (RFI, RFQ/RFP, e-auctions) including gathering global requirements, market research, evaluating proposals, decision process (TCO analysis, scenario analysis, etc.), conducting negotiations and awarding.
- Manage third-party risk securing compliance with regulation and ING policy and standards.
- Perform supplier relationship management, performance management, issue management and resolution while facilitating supplier review and continuous improvement.
- Support Category Management with negotiations, selecting preferred suppliers and establishing buying channels within assigned scope.
- Play a role as strategic contributor in fields like ESG, procurement best-in-class practice, cost savings initiatives.
Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant field, such as supply chain, (computer) engineering, business administration, or finance.
- 4-5 years of experience in IT Procurement area and preferably in an international financial services provider organization.
- Experienced subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and category management in IT Procurement in at least one of the domains: Software and SaaS, Hardware (Servers, Storage, Workplaces, Network, Data Centre equipment) and IT Services.
- Strong negotiation skills based on data and facts.
- Experience in establishing global purchasing agreements directly with IT suppliers (not via resellers) – drafting, reviewing, and negotiating.
- Ability to build strong relationships with procurement and business stakeholders.
- Proactive, independent approach and a good grasp of working in international environments.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.
- Very good organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and prioritize tasks.
- Very good English skills (spoken and written) (B2/C1).
- Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Sourcing tools; experience with ERP systems or procurement tools is preferred.
Nice to have / Extra points
- Certifications like CIPS or Nevi.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. DORA, EBA, GDPR) or Financial industry experience.
- Managed global sourcing projects in/for large international organizations.
- Expertise in complex contracting with large software vendors or core banking software suppliers.
Information about the squad
You will be part of the Global Tech Procurement Category Team. The role is accountable for building (sub)category strategy, stakeholder alignment, researching the market, running strategic/complex sourcing events, managing suppliers, and negotiating global framework contracts. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing across assigned spend categories, managing contracts, and driving significant year-on-year cost improvements.
