The CX Analytics Engineering team bridges the gap between data engineering, data science, and business analytics by building scalable, reliable data solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. This role is remote-first but not remote-only — in-person participation is required throughout the year (team and company offsites are held multiple times annually).

What We Do

• Develop and maintain foundational data models that serve as single sources of truth for analytics across the organization.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards, and tools that empower stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, data science, product, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery.
• Build frameworks, tools, and workflows that maximize efficiency while maintaining high standards of data quality and performance.
• Deliver outcome-focused solutions using modern development and analytics tools to provide quick value with long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Function as an Analytics Engineer (hybrid Data Engineer / Data Scientist / Business Analyst) with end-to-end understanding of data flows: creation, ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Become the subject-matter expert for specific business areas and data domains; own data pipelines and downstream data quality.
• Translate complex technical and operational requirements into consumable front-end data solutions (tables, models, dashboards, and data products).
• Interface with stakeholders to prioritize work that delivers commercial value (experimentation frameworks, ad hoc analysis support, data products).
• Build abstractions and reusable components (UDFs, Python packages, internal data apps) to support scalable workflows.
• Take initiative to identify and fix issues anywhere in the stack; collaborate with engineering teams to remediate data gaps.

Requirements

• Customer support data experience: familiarity with data elements and processes supporting customer support initiatives, including workforce/staffing inputs and handling of sensitive PII.
• Data modeling expertise: strong understanding of best practices for modular and reusable data models (star schemas, snowflake schemas).
• Prompt design and engineering: expertise in prompt engineering and design for LLMs (e.g., GPT) to improve internal tool performance and responses.
• Advanced SQL: proficiency in advanced SQL techniques for transformation, querying, and optimization.
• Intermediate to advanced Python: strong scripting and automation skills, OOP experience, and building scalable frameworks.
• Data pipeline development: experience building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar.
• Data visualization: experience building polished dashboards with Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly).
• Development tools: familiarity with version control (GitHub), CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
• Data architecture: knowledge of modern data lake/warehouse architectures (Snowflake, Databricks) and transformation frameworks.
• Statistical literacy: familiarity with statistics and probability to inform analyses and modeling decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into business value and manage cross-functional projects.

Bonus

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.

Pay Range

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position is: $207,000 — $244,100 USD. Full-time offers also include target bonus + benefits (medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
