The CX Analytics Engineering team bridges the gap between data engineering, data science, and business analytics by building scalable, impactful data solutions. We transform raw data into actionable insights through robust pipelines, well-designed data models, and tools that empower stakeholders across the organization to make data-driven decisions.

The role is remote-first but not remote-only — in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites. Attendance for in-person events is expected and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain foundational data models that serve as the single source of truth for analytics across the organization.
  • Translate complex technical and operational requirements into consumable front-end data solutions: tables, dashboards, and data products.
  • Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows; ensure data quality, reliability, and performance for downstream consumers.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, data science, product, and business teams to align on priorities and deliver business value.
  • Create abstractions and frameworks (UDFs, Python packages, internal data-app frameworks) to support scalable data workflows.
  • Interface with stakeholders to generate business value from data — through experimentation, insights, and direct analytic solutions.
  • Identify gaps in the stack, communicate with engineering teams, and take initiative to fix issues anywhere in the data flow.

Requirements / What We Look For

  • Customer Support Data Experience: Familiarity with data elements and processes supporting Customer Support initiatives (employee performance monitoring, workforce/staffing inputs, sensitive PII handling).
  • Data Modeling Expertise: Strong understanding of modular and reusable data model best practices (star schemas, snowflake schemas).
  • Prompt Design and Engineering: Expertise in prompt engineering and design for LLMs (e.g., GPT) to improve response accuracy and performance for internal tools.
  • Advanced SQL: Proficiency in advanced SQL techniques for transformation, querying, and optimization.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Python: Experience with scripting, OOP, and building scalable frameworks and packages.
  • Data Pipeline Development: Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar.
  • Data Visualization: Experience building polished dashboards with Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Plotly).
  • Development Tools: Familiarity with version control (GitHub), CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
  • Data Architecture: Knowledge of modern data lake/warehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and transformation frameworks.
  • Business Acumen & Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and manage projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Data Savvy: Familiarity with statistics and probability.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes.

Pay Range

  • Target annual salary range (depending on work location): $207,000 — $244,100 USD. Full-time offers also include bonus eligibility and benefits.
