Details

At SentinelOne, we’re redefining cybersecurity by pushing the limits of what’s possible—leveraging AI-powered, data-driven innovation to stay ahead of tomorrow’s threats.

From building industry-leading products to cultivating an exceptional company culture, our core values guide everything we do. We’re looking for passionate individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to drive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, operation, and end-to-end platform experience of mission-critical distributed data services (such as Kafka, Redis, and others) running at massive scale across Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE) and multi-cloud environments.
  • Manage the data & caching infrastructure supporting Petabytes/day ingestion, ensuring low-latency, high-throughput, cost-effective operation at global scale.
  • Consolidate and optimize multi-tenant Kafka clusters to reduce cost, improve resilience, and streamline operations.
  • Build highly automated, self-service infrastructure to enable complete cloud portability across AWS, GCP, and air-gapped on-prem environments.
  • Drive lifecycle automation for owned distributed data services using GitOps principles and tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform), reducing operational toil and minimizing pager fatigue.
  • Define and implement standards for observability, high availability (HA), backup, and disaster recovery (DR) of workloads in Kubernetes.
  • Partner with FinOps and engineering stakeholders to continuously optimize performance, cost, and operational overhead across data platform components.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering or as a DevOps engineer, with a proven track record of operating distributed systems at scale.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes and best practices for managing both stateless and stateful workloads in production.
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments and strong expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices and tools (Terraform, ArgoCD, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation (GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, etc.).
  • Familiarity with advanced deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling).
  • Strong scripting or development skills (e.g., Python, Go, or similar).
  • Nice to have (or learn on the job): experience with self-hosted Kafka and/or Redis running in Kubernetes (performance tuning, scaling, partitioning, persistence, operator-based lifecycle management); experience with other messaging systems or data stores (e.g., Cassandra, ClickHouse); experience providing Database- or Messaging-as-a-Service (DBaaS/PaaS) for internal teams or customers.

Benefits

  • Salary starting from 5000 EUR/month. Annual bonus based on company performance, paid in two installments. The final base salary may be adjusted based on the individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
  • Grant of Restricted Stock Units with a 4-year vesting plan, annual performance-based bonuses, and an employee stock purchase plan.
  • Flexible Time Off, 5 weeks vacation (standard), flexible paid sick days, fully paid Short Term Sick/Nursing Leave, 16-week parental leave, grandparent leave, and additional company holidays.
  • Pension insurance contribution, premium life insurance, and a Global Employee Assistance Program.
  • Monthly meal and well-being allowance, high-end MacBook/Windows laptop, work-from-home support, and in-office refreshments.
  • LinkedIn Learning, internal mentoring, educational support, generous referral bonuses, and optional company events (sports, BBQs, charity).
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely from anywhere in Slovakia. Access to major co-working spaces. In the Czech Republic, you can also work from modern offices in Prague or Brno.
