This role sits on the Coinbase Advanced Trading Design Team and centers on designing intuitive, powerful web and mobile experiences that help advanced traders navigate digital asset markets. The role expects a strong product design practitioner who can own end-to-end journeys, work cross-functionally, and ship high-quality solutions that balance complex data and trading workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to product and design strategy and participate in overall direction and decision-making.
• Own end-to-end user journeys and all aspects of design execution: ideation, prototyping, user testing, and final production.
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, research, marketing, and other cross-functional partners to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive for clients, while addressing complex trading needs.
• Participate in regular design critiques, give and receive feedback, and iterate on designs.
• Support team and company-wide collaboration including in-person participation for offsites and periodic in-person work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience.
• Personal or professional experience with trading platforms and a deep understanding of challenges and opportunities in trading products.
• Strong product thinking, solutions orientation, and ability to work autonomously.
• Proven track record of shipping successful products within a product team.
• Mastery of visual design, interaction design, and prototyping; sharp attention to detail.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Interest in crypto, trading, and financial products; low ego and collaborative mindset.

Nice to haves

• Experience with 0-to-1 product launches in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization and designing for complex, data-driven tools.
• Knowledge of advanced trading concepts such as order types, market analysis, and liquidity pools.
