We’re launching a new vertical to serve SMBs and startups called Coinbase Business (global payments, invoices, contractor payroll, trading, and treasury management — all in stablecoins and crypto). This role is the founding designer for Coinbase Business, shaping strategy and product direction.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for a new Coinbase product offering.
• Design the MVP and future vision concepts including payments, payroll, invoices, etc.
• Collaborate across Coinbase teams to launch supporting features (onboarding, multi-user, payment rails, tax, settings, etc.).
• Talk to customers to generate insights and influence strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Product Design experience.
• Exemplary product thinking abilities; solutions-oriented and capable of working autonomously.
• Proven track record of working within a product team to ship successful products to users.
• Mastery and sharp attention to detail across visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management experience.
• Comfortable thriving in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environments.
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Low ego, collaborative, and open-minded.
• Interest in crypto and/or financial products.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech (B2B preferred; consumer also acceptable).
• Experience building on sophisticated product platforms with extensive cross-team collaboration.
• 0-to-1 experience with new product launches (startup or internal venture).

• Pay Range: $207,485 — $244,100 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include target bonus + benefits).

Interview & AI disclosure

• Coinbase may pilot AI tools for initial screening interviews (voice recording/transcript) and/or BrightHire to transcribe and summarize interview notes.
