Staff Product Designer - MetaMask

Consensys is the leading blockchain and web3 software company and MetaMask is a flagship product in our suite. This role will lead design efforts across MetaMask products to drive adoption and retention, balancing growth goals with usability and user trust in a remote-first, global team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of user experiences that drive adoption and retention across MetaMask products.
• Explore problems from multiple angles, bring clarity to ambiguous challenges, and deliver designs that balance growth goals with usability and trust.
• Optimize transaction experiences, craft new activation surfaces, and identify patterns across user journeys.
• Partner closely with engineers and data teams to inform design decisions using product analytics.
• Give thoughtful feedback and mentor other designers to elevate design quality across the team.
• Lead projects from zero to one as well as iterate on mature surfaces.
• Be a key voice in shaping design culture and process on a high-impact, fast-moving team.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in digital product design with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership in design projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate design decisions clearly.
• A thoughtful approach to experimentation—knowing when to test, when to ship, and how to learn.
• Comfort working with product analytics and partnering with data teams to inform design decisions.
• Strength in systems thinking, interaction design, and content-aware UX.
• Experience collaborating across engineering, product, marketing, research, and content teams.
• Experience mentoring or leveling up other designers on your team.
• Familiarity with Figma, design systems, and remote design workflows.
• Ability to lead projects from concept through launch and iterate on mature surfaces.
• Experience working in or designing for Web3 / blockchain products is highly relevant (MetaMask is a crypto wallet and Web3 product).

• The salary range listed applies to US-based candidates and will be determined through the interview process depending on experience and skills.

Compensation

• US pay range (not including bonus, equity, or other benefits): $146,000—$218,000 USD.
