Role Overview

Community Support Platform (CSP) is a key driver in enabling Airbnb's core business. Community Support Engineering builds world-class tools for our team of Community Support ambassadors and operations teams to ensure guests and hosts have a great experience 24/7, 365 days a year.

You will join the Core Service Experience team responsible for maintaining the product experience for the core software application and tooling used daily by 18,000+ support ambassadors globally. This role drives innovation in Airbnb's customer support systems leveraging data and technologies like GenAI.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and define strategy for cross-functional collaboration and architectural decisions.
• Lead multi-team technical initiatives and identify business impact opportunities.
• Architect and implement complex, data-driven, high-performance features.
• Collaborate with ML engineering using data and GenAI to influence product direction and implement cutting-edge features.
• Lead advancements in engineering processes and technical foundations.
• Drive systemic improvements to streamline development, reduce toil, and improve quality.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers through design reviews, code walkthroughs, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 11+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with data systems, ML engineering collaboration, and leveraging GenAI.
• Proven technical leadership including project team leadership, technical direction, and mentoring.
• Passion for efficiency, availability, technical and system quality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive cross-team initiatives.
• Dedication to fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Location

This position is US - Remote eligible. Occasional office or offsite attendance may be required. The candidate must reside in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity.

Benefits

Base salary range: $204,000 — $255,000 USD. Role may also be eligible for bonuses, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits.
