Community You Will Join

Reservation Management is a full-stack product team focused on delivering exceptional traveling experiences for guests and hosts. Their products handle reservation details, check-in instructions, co-traveler management, reminders, and host reservation tasks including offers and active reservation management. The team's work impacts every Airbnb guest and host directly.

Responsibilities

  • Set technical vision and drive improvements for backend foundation powering reliable reservation products.
  • Mentor and support career growth for individual contributors within and beyond the team.
  • Write and review technical designs for complex foundational problems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, designers, and data scientists.
  • Use performance and business data to improve team and product.
  • Lead end-to-end product discussions, guiding engineering paths from ideation through testing.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of software development experience in fast-paced tech environments.
  • Expertise in building high-scale, performant backend services; bonus for GraphQL experience.
  • Strong coding skills in Java, Kotlin, Python, Scala, C++, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and maintaining highly available large service-oriented architectures.
  • Proven track record shipping large-scale projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Technical leadership and communication skills to lead engineers.
  • Passion for end-to-end product delivery, including A/B testing.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Nice to have: design and UX sensibilities.

Location

US - Remote eligible. Must live in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity; occasional onsite or offsite attendance may be required.

Benefits

Pay range between $204,000 and $255,000 USD, with potential for bonus, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits. Salaries vary by experience and market factors.
