At SentinelOne, we’re redefining cybersecurity by pushing the limits of what’s possible—leveraging AI-powered, data-driven innovation to stay ahead of tomorrow’s threats.

We are transforming the developer platform to offer a unified Developer Experience. We’re seeking a Staff (techlead-level) SW / Infrastructure Engineer to participate in this transformation and help define the next generation of our platform — serving dozens of teams and nearly 1,000 engineers across the company.

The role focuses on designing and implementing secure, scalable, reliable Developer Platform & APIs built on top of our Infrastructure Platform. The APIs must provide a unified customer-friendly developer experience while protecting internal infrastructure services. The team also provides a Developer Catalogue (built on top of technologies like Backstage) and standardized flows for service development, deployment, and management.

SentinelOne operates globally deployed SaaS cybersecurity products across 6 AWS/GCP regions and GovCloud, processing 9+ Petabytes of daily data ingests and 3+ Trillion security events from tens of millions of endpoints and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Modernize the stack by collaborating with architects and teams to evaluate and implement tools, frameworks, and methodologies for a robust, user-centric developer platform.
  • Hands-on development: write high-quality, production-ready code.
  • Mentor and lead other engineers: guide technical direction, share best practices and architectural insights, and foster engineering excellence.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, design, quality, DevOps/Infra teams, and leadership to align objectives, design, timelines, and execution strategies.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Developer Platform / DevEx fundamentals and infrastructure platform services design.
  • Proficiency in Golang; experience with Python is a plus.
  • Deep proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins) at large scale.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and related tooling.
  • Familiarity with communication technologies as required by services: Kafka, REST API, GraphQL, gRPC.
  • Experience with databases and storage: Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse.
  • Observability and monitoring experience (Prometheus/Thanos, Grafana).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, accountability, and strong communication skills to influence across teams and stakeholders in multiple time zones.

Tech Stack (as stated)

  • Languages & runtime: Go, Python
  • Container & orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Cloud & compliance: AWS, GCP, FedRAMP
  • CI/CD & delivery: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins
