Details

Weโ€™re building for a future where the internet and world economy empowers people through interactions based on consent, privacy, and free association. Where both communities and individuals flourish. To accomplish that, weโ€™re working hard to make web3 accessible for everyone around the world.

MetaMask is both a crypto wallet and a gateway to the decentralized web. Our tools help people create communities, play video games, access financial services, make payments, invest in assets, protect against economic turmoil, and more. Our browser extension and mobile platforms meet the needs of millions of users and developers across the world.

Originally a humble key manager, today MetaMask serves over 30 million monthly active users as a decentralized application development platform, an aggregator of decentralized cryptocurrency exchanges, and a decentralized identity manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, roadmapping, prioritization and execution for the Extension and Mobile Platform thatโ€™s foundational to the MetaMask wallet.
  • Define and own platform strategy for stability, performance, and predictable client release cadence, including the long-term roadmap, in collaboration with EMs and engineering teams.
  • Align teams and stakeholders on a shared vision tied to the larger strategy.
  • Define and own platform-related OKRs for Extension and Mobile, in collaboration with EMs and other PMs.
  • Manage and prioritize platform-related backlog.
  • Contribute to resolution of blockers raised by EMs and engineering teams, especially when achievement of OKRs is at risk.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders (other MetaMask teams), providing regular updates on product (platform aspects only).
  • Groom backlogs, plan sprints, conduct retros, unblock your team.
  • Report on OKR progress.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience as a Platform Product Manager working in a technology heavy role, including crafting vision and strategy for the platforms you built.
  • The capacity and ability to understand the needs of customers (internal MetaMask engineers) and their customers (MetaMask end users) to drive platform roadmap.
  • The knowledge and confidence to participate in very technical conversations, and to drive consensus and commitment.
  • Experience as an engineer, preferably working with Mobile or client platforms.
  • Web3 experience is preferred, but not necessarily required.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
  • Data-driven, user-focused, and analytical.
  • Familiarity with relevant processes (e.g. Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Notion, Figma, GitHub, MixPanel, Looker Studio).
  • Team player, inclusive leader, open to feedback, and transparent with intentions.
