Airbnb’s mission is to create a world where people can Belong Anywhere. As we grow to achieve that mission, we’re looking to add a technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to our Marketing Technology team.
This role partners with our Product, Design, Creative, Marketing, and Marketing Technology organizations across multiple dimensions. Our Marketing Technology team focuses on building the best-in-class platform and internal tooling to enable marketing and product teams at Airbnb to deliver no-code vehicles and associated delivery infrastructure. For launch marketing campaigns, the role leads collaboration on custom-built pages.
This key role requires a self-starter with strong experience in organization, communication, and execution of marketing needs.
The Difference You Will Make
The mission is to enable both marketing and product teams to effectively deliver highly personalized and relevant marketing campaigns to the Airbnb community.
The Marketing Technology team spans five pillars:
- Paid and performance platform powering offsite advertising on search and display Ad networks
- Content platform enabling teams across Airbnb to launch marketing content onsite and offsite
- Communications and delivery infrastructure enabling promotional and transactional content delivery at scale across multiple offline channels (e.g., email, push, SMS)
- Machine learning platform enabling optimizations and personalization
- Data platform powering measurement and attribution
A Typical Day
- Drive initiatives maximizing performance, stability, and efficiency across growth initiatives, working closely with product, engineering, and machine learning teams
- Increase team productivity by removing obstacles and keeping processes lean
- Maintain urgency by ensuring strong collaboration within multiple competing priority organizations
- Identify process improvement opportunities focusing on simplification and productivity
- Provide roadmap and program updates to keep leaders informed on delivery risks and opportunities
- Drive accountability and ownership in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex technical integrations with data-informed decision-making
- Ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions, framing challenges and driving initiatives to completion
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to different team operating cadences
- Experience in developing lean processes with flexibility to get things done
- Detail-oriented with technical expertise and problem-solving to prioritize blocking issues
- Experience working in highly cross-functional environments with multiple group communications
- Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal delay
- Excellent written and oral business communication and influencing skills
- BA/BS degree with 9+ years technical project management or relevant experience
Location
This position is US - Remote Eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsite attendance may be required as agreed with manager. Must reside in a US state where Airbnb has a registered entity. See company for updated list of excluded states.
