Perplexity is looking for experienced Infrastructure Engineers to join a small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. You will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of tools, systems, and platforms that empower web, mobile, and browser engineers to build state-of-the-art products. You will play a critical role in enabling product, AI, and developer teams to innovate quickly while ensuring reliability, security, and performance at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, implementation, and scaling of infrastructure tools, systems, and platforms that enable product and engineering teams.
- Build and maintain critical backend systems such as authentication, real-time data flows, and service orchestration.
- Develop frontend frameworks and developer-facing tooling to ensure fast, reliable, and secure user experiences.
- Improve developer productivity by owning internal platforms for source control, build, test, and deployment (CI/CD), onboarding, and developer tools.
- Architect and operate cloud infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency workloads, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Design and secure high-performance APIs used by internal teams, user-facing apps, and third parties.
- Collaborate deeply with product, AI research, security, and other engineering teams to maintain availability, reliability, and performance at scale.
