Strategic Finance & Analytics Intern (MBA)

Airbnb is seeking first-year MBA students to join the Finance organization as Strategic Finance & Analytics (SFA) Interns for the 2026 Summer Intern Program. The SFA team partners with leaders across Airbnb to bring data-driven insights to life and supports long-term strategic and financial planning, forecasting, and analytics initiatives across the business. This role provides hands-on experience working on impactful projects, mentorship, and exposure to cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision-makers
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns based on business and market data
• Construct and present forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to stakeholders and leaders
• Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and available data elements
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders and provide updates and insights
• Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and community events

Requirements

• Must be a first-year MBA student (graduating Spring 2027) enrolled full-time at a nationally-accredited U.S. business school
• 3–5 years of professional experience (examples provided: financial planning & analysis, corporate development, management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or business operations)
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to define and execute projects independently
• Strong relationship-building skills with various internal and external stakeholders
• Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to senior leaders
• Robust quantitative abilities with aptitude for analyzing complex data and delivering actionable recommendations
• Experience with SQL, financial modeling, data analysis and visualization (Tableau or similar tools)
• Demonstrated interest in high-growth, technology, or hospitality companies
• Authorization to work in the United States (work authorization required)

Preferred (not required):

• Ability to conduct in-depth industry research and due diligence

Location & Work Arrangement

• This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with your manager.
• Candidates must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states are excluded).

Compensation

• Pay rate: $48 per hour (USD)
