Anthropic is an AI safety and research company building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We are looking for a Strategic Partner Development, Product Partnerships professional to manage product partnerships and integrations with a wide range of content providers to improve Anthropic’s products. You will prospect, research, negotiate, and close deals with content providers necessary to build and maintain Anthropic’s product portfolio. A background in product partnerships at a major tech company and comfort working in a fast-paced start-up environment are beneficial.

Responsibilities

Product Partnerships Deal Pipeline Management

• Work closely with Product & Research teams to proactively identify and pursue product partnership opportunities via product and customer insights, market research, industry networking, and strategic outreach.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective product partnerships, track leads, and manage deal flow from initial contact to closure.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential partners, assessing strategic fit, content offerings, and potential value to Anthropic.

Deal Negotiation and Structuring

• Lead negotiations with product partners and craft mutually beneficial agreements aligned with Anthropic's business objectives and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, Research, and Finance teams to structure deals that balance risk, product impact, and operational feasibility.
• Develop comprehensive deal models, product ROI analyses, and cost structures to support decision-making.

Partner Management and Relationship Building

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing product partners, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure ongoing satisfaction and alignment with partnership goals.
• Manage partner communications, address concerns, and facilitate collaboration between partners and cross-functional teams at Anthropic.
• Explore opportunities to expand and deepen partnerships and identify new collaboration areas that create value for both parties.

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in product partnerships or product-facing partnerships (experience at a major tech company is beneficial).
• Demonstrated experience with prospecting, deal negotiation, structuring partnerships, and partner management.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (Legal, Product, Engineering, Research, Finance) and comfort working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct market research, competitive analyses, and due diligence on potential partners.
• Experience building deal models, calculating product ROI, and assessing cost structures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for reporting to executive leadership.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Candidates need not have deep technical understanding of AI systems.

Logistics

• Annual salary range: $200,000 - $300,000 USD.
• Locations: San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY (United States).
• Location-based hybrid policy: staff are expected to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
• Education: at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Visa sponsorship: Anthropic will make reasonable efforts to sponsor visas for selected candidates and retains an immigration lawyer to help.
