Eneco is on a mission to accelerate the energy transition and needs strong partnerships with technology providers and strategic partners. As a Tactical Partner Manager you will ensure partnerships deliver value for Eneco, partners, and customers by managing vendor relationships, contracts, performance, and financial control for a substantial contract portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and execute the partner management strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Grow the capabilities of strategic partners to maximize value for the organization.
  • Manage the strategic vendor portfolio and relationships with technology partners and suppliers.
  • Guide partner negotiations to ensure quality and performance of strategic partnerships.
  • Support the community of practice for contract and vendor management.
  • Support and advise Tech contract holders in defining scope and supervising contracting of products and services, ensuring correct execution of agreements.
  • Oversee performance management, contract management, quality, compliance, and financial control for a contract portfolio of approximately €140 million.
  • Propose initiatives to increase cost efficiency and maximize economies of scale in the contract portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Eneco Tech leadership and build close relationships with value chain/business stakeholders and Eneco Tech leads.
  • Proactively manage vendor-related risks, resolve disputes, and handle escalations efficiently.
  • Support procurement in negotiating, reviewing, and managing IT service contracts, ensuring best-in-class terms, performance metrics & governance and modern contract excellence.
  • Support leaders to balance trade-offs between speed-to-market, cost, risk and quality.
  • Support in maturing supplier policies, governance, processes and reporting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT vendor management, outsourcing, contract management, or procurement roles (top of page indicates > 5 years experience overall).
  • Experience managing large, complex IT outsourcing contracts (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, applications, managed services, hybrid).
  • Affinity with modern business technology for utilities, energy, or natural resources.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of IT service agreements, commercial contracts, and financial principles.
  • Solid understanding of IT industry trends, legal frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Language: excellent command of Dutch and English (professional working proficiency).
  • Familiarity with Agile, LEAN, ITIL, COBIT or other IT governance frameworks is a plus.

Where you’ll work

  • Team: Tech Partner Management team (4 Partner Managers and 4 Operational Partner Management team members supporting financial control and requisition-to-pay activities).
  • Hybrid working pattern: in office on Mondays and Thursdays, a flexible third day in office, other days working from home. Team works collaboratively on vendor management strategy and improvement initiatives.

Benefits

  • Gross annual salary between €90,000 and €110,000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing).
