As a Marketing & Communication Intern at ING Bank Netherlands you will join the Corporate Technology department which delivers tech services internally to ING’s 40+ countries. You will work with the management team, IT professionals, and global tech communications colleagues to create communications materials and manage internal channels for various IT products and teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the department SharePoint site with information on services provided.
- Manage internal digital channels (Teams communities, Viva Engage) and enhance engagement by posting regular updates, encouraging colleague participation and growing the community.
- Support and develop internal comms materials, including presentations, brochures, video editing and copy.
- Support management team meetings, prepare demos and facilitate stakeholder and management team sessions.
- Develop marketing/product pages for various IT products and internal teams.
- Assist with planning department events.
- Collect and analyse feedback from employee and business partner satisfaction surveys to identify actionable insights and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in communication, marketing, business administration, journalism or a related field (mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university, or EU-university for EU passport holders, during the internship).
- Based in the Netherlands and available in-office at least 2 days per week.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player.
- Passionate about technology and innovation.
- Independent, ambitious and results-oriented; pragmatic, proactive and creative.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Fluent in English.
- Enthusiasm and experience with content creation is a big plus (TikToks, Reels, Podcasts, Vlogs).
What You Would Be Doing (examples)
- Manage comms structure and templates to ensure consistency across IT-related messaging.
- Manage the department SharePoint site as a single source of information on delivered services.
- Post regular updates and develop strategies to grow internal social channels.
- Support demos, stakeholder sessions and management meetings to drive marketing and communication plans and materials.
- Participate in planning events and analysing survey feedback.
