Tech Strategy focuses on the “Why” and “Where” of technology investments and direction, providing input to Architecture for technical design and implementation of IT systems, driving the “How” and “What” of technical solutions.
Responsibilities
The Tech Strategy Consultant is responsible for:
- Collecting, analyzing and providing relevant information
- Formulating and testing hypotheses
- Leading proof of concept and/or pilot implementations
- Identifying optimal technology strategy solutions to address business needs and collaborate on developing practical implementation roadmaps across multiple business and technology domains
- Effectively communicating high-level and detailed information, and the ability to varying social style and audiences (stakeholders).
- Advanced presentation and public speaking skills.
- Create expert content and take part in professional forums.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, assess technology trends, and develop strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Stay up to date of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Delve deeply into the industry and technological infrastructure within which clients operate, gaining a comprehensive understanding of clients’ technology options in the context of global, industry, economic, technological, and social trends.
Requirements
Experience/ profile:
- 5+ years of large-scale consulting experience (preferably at a renowned consulting firm) and/or working with a frontrunning digital financial institution in the areas of IT strategy, Technology architecture, IT governance or Operating model design.
- Proven experience in technology strategy development and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus.
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Experience in writing business cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, or IT transformations.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration)
- Advanced degree (Master’s) preferred

- Stakeholder Management: Be a counterpart for various product and commercial stakeholders to understand their needs, derive business cases and set the right priorities
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product teams, and departments to understand their needs and align technology strategies accordingly. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with business operations.
