Details

The Compute team works on the design of AI supercomputers, from workload modeling to accelerator co-design. The team partners with external vendors and data center partners to optimize hardware for deep learning workloads and bring hardware platforms to production.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical initiatives to ensure product success from concept to launch.
  • Lead technical program management for next-generation AI hardware system development, coordinating design engineering, manufacturing, operations, and external vendors/partners.
  • Establish NPI (new product introduction) processes, define milestones and deliverables, and drive internal process improvements across teams and functions.
  • Provide hands-on program management through analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Own end-to-end program success for hardware products including chip, package, board, module, rack, cable, and subsystems through deployment and production support at scale.
  • Develop and manage program requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables with engineering teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of programs.
  • Perform risk assessment, risk mitigation, and change management on projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and standards are met.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to launch and working with cross-functional teams to execute programs.
  • Experience driving development timelines for new platform introduction and managing internal review processes (NPI experience).
  • Experience working with external industry vendors and partners to optimize hardware platforms for workloads.
  • Understanding of hardware product development components: chip, package, board, module, rack, cable, and related subsystems.
  • Familiarity with engineering validation processes and integrating validation needs into system builds.
  • Knowledge or experience with thermal management hardware design (material selection, heat sinks, heat exchangers, air movers, pumps, and supporting equipment) is mentioned.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to operate in ambiguous and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional communication, and program/process improvement skills.
