As a Technical Sourcer, you will shape the talent foundation that fuels Perplexity’s growth. This is a non-traditional sourcing role requiring strong technical grounding, creativity, precision, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineers to identify, engage, and inspire world-class technical talent.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and engage engineering and technical talent across multiple disciplines and experience levels.
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring teams to deeply understand technical requirements and calibrate candidate profiles accurately.
• Use a wide range of sourcing strategies — including advanced research, talent mapping, referrals, and creative outreach — to build strong candidate pipelines.
• Act as a candidate’s first introduction to Perplexity AI, delivering an authentic and compelling story about the company’s mission, product, and team culture.
• Track and analyze pipeline data to drive continuous optimization and improvements in sourcing approaches.
• Operate with agility and adapt quickly to shifting priorities, hard-to-fill roles, and changing team needs.
• Source and engage top technical talent in new and diverse European Union markets, adapting outreach and sourcing strategies to local talent landscapes and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Strong desire to grow a career in sourcing and develop deep expertise in the craft.
• Exceptional technical literacy: comfortable navigating complex technical conversations, parsing nuanced skill sets, and understanding the architecture of software and AI roles.
• Proven experience sourcing talent in highly dynamic and fast-paced environments where priorities shift and ambiguity is constant.
• Creativity and resilience: ability to design novel sourcing strategies, test new methods, and adapt quickly when faced with challenges.

Compensation & Benefits

• Cash compensation range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year. Final offer depends on experience and expertise.
• Equity may be part of the total compensation package.
