We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join Collibra’s product design team, focusing on designing intuitive and innovative user experiences for a complex data application. You will work on an enterprise SaaS platform to ensure alignment with global design patterns and meet both user and business needs. This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh, NC office (in-office at least two days per week).
Responsibilities
- Create intuitive, visually clean interfaces that make managing complex data feel accessible and efficient on the platform
- Work with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and aligned with user needs
- Develop wireframes and low- and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate user flows and functionality
- Clearly and effectively communicate designs to project stakeholders
- Utilize user personas and define journey maps to guide design processes
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions and user interviews; iterate designs based on feedback
- Work with developers to ensure implementation meets UX standards and aligns with the established design system
- Proactively manage tasks and deadlines; communicate status and blockers to manager and stakeholders
- Actively use and contribute to the design system to ensure consistency with Collibra’s brand and UI patterns
Requirements
- A portfolio of full-lifecycle projects demonstrating application of UX principles to complex web and desktop applications
- Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira)
- Familiarity with SaaS enterprise platforms and data visualization; technical literacy preferred
- Degree in Design, HCI, or related field, combined with 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience (or equivalent education/work history)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; experience facilitating design critiques and workshops
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals/strategy, and technical constraints
Measures of Success
Reporting to Collibra’s Director of Product Design:
- Month 1: Deep dive into onboarding, understanding products, and getting to know the team
- Month 2: Begin contributing to active projects with wireframes and prototypes for new features or improvements
- Month 3: Finalize high-fidelity mockups and detailed design specifications for implementation
Compensation
The posting lists a standard rate of $116,000.00 - $145,000.00 per hour. The position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Hourly rates are based on a combination of factors including experience, skills, and location. In addition, Collibra offers equity ownership, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401(k) plans, and more.
