Work on one of Eneco’s most critical enterprise platforms that powers B2B energy propositions. As a Utility Billing Platform Engineer (UMAX365) you will configure, optimise and extend UMAX365 to support contract, billing and metering processes for thousands of business customers. You will collaborate with product management, developers, billing operations and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, reliable platform solutions. Accuracy, stability and a solution-oriented mindset are essential.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain UMAX365 modules across contract management, pricing, metering and billing.
- Design and execute billing scenarios, tariff configurations and end-to-end meter-to-cash process changes.
- Support integrations with DSO systems, metering platforms, CRM and Dynamics 365 Finance.
- Manage UMAX batch jobs, monitor billing performance and resolve operational incidents.
- Create functional specifications for enhancements, extensions and new features in collaboration with development teams.
- Translate business requirements into platform-aligned UMAX configurations and testable solutions.
- Troubleshoot UMAX–D365 interactions, data issues and workflow bottlenecks.
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to UMAX release planning, regression testing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience with UMAX365 or another utility billing / meter-to-cash platform (for example SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities).
- Strong understanding of billing cycles, tariffs, metering data, contract structures or energy-market processes.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations concepts such as data entities, batch jobs, integrations and posting flows.
- Ability to translate business requirements into UMAX365 configurations and testable functional designs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in high-volume or regulated environments.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, LCS or similar platform-engineering tools.
- Exposure to scripting or automation within the UMAX or D365 ecosystem.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector (supplier, DSO, B2B energy services).
- Affinity with data quality, validation and reconciliation processes.
Where you’ll work & working arrangements
- Team: Enterprise Platform Solutions (platform engineers, functional consultants and product specialists).
- Work model: Hybrid — focus days at home, collaboration days at the Rotterdam headquarters.
- Note: For this position it's important to already work and live in the Netherlands. With manager approval you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
- Depending on your knowledge, experience and skill set, this role can be positioned at different levels within the job & salary framework.

- Gross annual salary between €60,000 and €110,000 (including FlexBudget and 8% holiday allowance; depending on role, bonus or collective profit sharing).
