Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Situated within the larger Finance and Workplace organization, the Environments team is responsible for designing and delivering beautiful, welcoming and highly functional spaces for our users globally and for ensuring that Stripe's real estate portfolio evolves to stay aligned with our mission and the needs of our users. The team consists of three main pillars with skilled experts focused on interior design, space planning and capital project delivery.

What you’ll do

As the leader of the Environments Project Management team, you will primarily be responsible for managing a team of highly talented Workplace PMs charged with delivering a wide range of office fit out projects globally. You'll collaborate with the broader Workplace team and cross functional partners to ensure the team is successfully incorporating Stripe's design guidelines, operational standards, and real estate strategy along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for managing a globally distributed team of capital project managers focused on delivering a diverse pipeline of projects in line with Stripe’s growth plans.
  • From smaller “day 2” refreshes to full-on ground up buildings, you will ensure the project team is scoping and staffing projects so they’re consistently delivered at a high level, on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with your Workplace colleagues, cross functional partners, and the leadership team to ensure that we’re delivering beautiful, inclusive and welcoming environments that reflect Stripe's Workplace philosophies and our operating principles.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the right stakeholders are engaged for each project: Finance & Strategy, IT/AV, Security, Design, Workplace Operations, etc.
  • Be responsible for defining and rolling out project management standards and methodologies, providing support and guidance to the team of PMs in the form of tools, documentation and training.
  • Manage resource allocation across projects and provide periodic oversight and reporting on project performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals,
  • Ensure that all of our office designs have operational integrity and function at their core, while ensuring that elements of whimsy, craft and beauty are seamlessly integrated into the user experience.
  • Collaborate with your colleagues across the Workplace team on our global strategies for real estate and the overall workplace experience; sharing industry knowledge, best practices and lessons learned to ensure that Stripe's business plans and growth are supported and enabled.
  • Determine needs for local, national, and global vendor partnerships including but not limited to: External PM, Design, GC, etc.
  • Work with our internal Procurement team to streamline and create efficiencies in vendor management processes.
  • Develop tools and compile resources for effective Capex estimates by region and project type, incorporating Stripe’s design guidelines.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $168,000 - $252,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
