We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Asset & Liability Management (ALM) Model Development team, focusing on modelling of non-maturing deposits. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and programming, contributing to models that drive critical risk and balance sheet decisions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and enhancing ALM models for non-maturing deposits.
- Implement and optimize financial and econometric models using Python.
- Support data analysis, scenario testing, and model validation.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate quantitative insights into business processes.
Requirements
- Currently in the final year of pursuing a degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Available for at least 6 months, starting in Mar 26.
- Studying at a Dutch University (non-EU citizens from non-Dutch Universities cannot join due to Visa restrictions). During the duration of the internship at ING, it is mandatory to be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Understanding of econometrics and financial modeling concepts.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
