Responsibilities
- About half of your time will be working in your own DevOps team on refining, analyzing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining, and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions.
- Managing a team of 8-10 IT Engineers.
- Educating yourself and others on technical capabilities and innovations.
- Mentoring Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
- Participating in knowledge sharing through various initiatives.
- Aligning properly with stakeholders including Architects and Product Owners.
- Working in a DevOps environment advocating Agile and CICD processes.
- On a strategic level, mentoring team members, evaluating technical assessments, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Managing HR processes for team members.
- Creating and fostering a healthy working environment and culture for the Chapter.
Working Environment
Within the Credits Department, the focus is on enabling entrepreneurs to make a positive impact with simpler, faster, digital processes. The IT landscape includes:
- Home-built Java applications
- Python/PySpark-based data pipelines
- Azure Cloud Platform
- Commercial off-the-shelf applications or SaaS solutions
- Batch workloads using scheduling tools
- RESTFUL and SOAP Web Services
Requirements
- At least 7+ years of experience in Data and Cloud technology.
- Proficient in Python.
- Experience with Spark, preferably Databricks.
- Experience deploying Azure infrastructure and managing networking.
- Expertise in Azure DevOps, Databricks, or any data orchestration tool like Datafactory or Airflow.
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and testing processes.
- Comfortable coaching people with good people skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Understanding and acting upon Scrum Values (openness, courage, commitment, respect, and focus).
- Power skills: coaching enthusiasm, openness, honesty, empathy, and problem-solving mentality.
- Ability to communicate with senior management and lead naturally.
